The 90's are well and truly over but it's legacy of fuzzed out guitar riffs, sonic depravity, and youthful angst ridden lyrics have never left the alternative punk rock music scene. There has always been a rich history of predominant female alternative/grunge bands and artists which has helped to inspire new generations of female musicians all over the world.
Brighton grunge band Bitch Theme are one of these newer generation of all female punk rock noise makers who at first listen remind of Sonic Youth or early Nirvana Bleach era. While the music may not be lyrically topnotch (but then neither is half of Nirvana's) the over the top distorted guitar riffs which are catchy and quirky give Bitch Theme an authentic early 90's alternative sound.

The band have been playing a lot of shows around Brighton and the south lately, and also festivals such as Washed Out. They have also just recently finished a mini tour around the south coast with Ocean Embers and Everest.
We are looking forward to see how Bitch Theme progress both musically and stage performance wise but no doubt they have the charisma and passion to go far. Catch them at the Green Door Store on July 26th to see and hear what they're all about.
