Brighton's own indie pop/RnB flavoured up and coming band Maya are making waves amongst the south coast scene. They are a four piece which subscribe to the less is more concept of making music that has atmosphere and space to breathe but still retains a fuller sound that fills the room with spine tingling vibes.

The band make use of huge reverb soaked guitar sounds that pierce through the venue. Add to that an indie pop rhythm section and RnB influenced melodies and lyrics, you get just what Maya are all about.

The band create a moody vibe with both their music and stage personas which gives them an intriguing aura around them. The odd blingy jacket worn onstage is a brief glimpse of their fun/humerous side.

They have cut their musical teeth in venues all around Brighton and played venues in Bristol and beyond. If you're looking for a modern take on dreamy, atmospheric sounds then be sure to check Maya out.
