And now for something completely different. Warsaw Radio are an interesting band with an interesting sound. Originally from Limerick, Ireland, they have made Brighton their home base and why not. Brighton's music scene has room for any genre of music you can think of, and Warsaw Radio have a soothing sound to their music but they achieve this in an inattentive way.

Their sound could be best described as folk pop. They remind me of Mumford and Sons but with an added Celtic vibe to their music. There is a very intimate feel and a sense knowledge/wisdom behind the lyrics. You feel as if you want to let go of your daily stresses whilst listening to the music.

The latest single release from Warsaw Radio fits this style perfectly, the song called Down By The Sea has the unmistakable Irish Celtic vibe with a modern folk feel to it. They have made sure it has enough pop hooks in it to make it relevant to today's music tastes.

Warsaw Radio have also just announced that they will be playing the Little Big Festival in Brighton on August 27th. This will be a good chance to see whether their sound still has that intimate vibe on a bigger. open stage.
