Don't you just love it when a song takes you away to a tropical paradise, on top of a scenic mountain somewhere, or back to a special moment in your past. That is exactly the feeling you get when listening to neo soul and electronica artist The Isle of CC. She adds a brooding atmospheric vibe to the neo soul backbone of her music and has electronic components as well as tasteful guitar parts which all combine to give her latest song "Losing" a laid back, chilled out feel.

The Isle of CC is fronted by Serena Robb who has made her way to Brighton via Milton Keynes. She grew up in a very musical family. Her mother and father were a singing duo that sang around many different churches whilst she was growing up. Their performances made a huge impression on Serena who would later regularly sing in church choirs and events before deciding to write her own music.

Not only has she made a great impression on Brighton's music scene in the short time she has been here but has gained interest from BBC Introducing The South, and then Radio 1's Huw Stephens. It looks like she is going to have a big future in the music scene nationally so go see her now while the shows are still intimate.
