When it's time to put on a bluesy, rock infused track that takes you away to a smoky, alcohol smelling fun filled place, a band like Raya Rose are a sure fire bet to deliver the goods. The bands consists of lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Raya Rose and her band members (lead guitarist, bassist, and drums). Their music is grungy alt rock which falls somewhere between The Pretty Reckless and fellow Brightonians Royal Blood. They have a lot of attitude, swagger, and great songs to get their messages of loving life and the reckless abandon of being young.

A song called 'Double Up' is about a care free night out, living it up with your friends. Remember to drink responsibly kids! Another song, 'Kick, Bite, Scratch Mark' is Raya telling her man how she wants it in the bedroom. With female empowerment as big a topic as ever, this song will will sit well with people championing this and others questioning whether this type of message is another cheap attempt at sick behaviour. At least there is an honest debate to be had.

With Raya Rose cutting their teeth both locally and nationally throughout this last year, it seems they are on an upward spiral. Catch them around Brighton, a sweaty, grungy and more than likely drunken good time is to be had.
