Thank God that the rock scene has more females involved in bands than ever before. Mainstream bands such as Paramore, evanescence, and The Pretty Reckless have made it normal for bands with a strong female presence to not only be accepted but also thrive. Foundations, an alt rock band hailing from Southampton are a band keeping this alive today.
Lead vocalist Miranda has a smooth yet passionate vocal style which works effortlessly with the poppy guitar hooks in their songs. She has a powerful vocal presence but with a definite feminine quality to it. The guitar and bass have a Muse, Paramore, Biffy Clyro vibe to them. And all this backed up by grooving, solid drum work.

With the release of their EP Karma Catalyst last November and a string of gigs being played not only throughout the south coast and London but even as far up north as Newcastle, Glass Foundations are making their mark on the UK rock scene. Supporting mainstream bands such as all girl rock band Evarose will only have heightened their status as a great band that you need to take notice of.
