Coming to Brighton via Milton Keynes is singer/rapper Abby Adediwura better known musically as Expression. He brings music inspired by Hip Hop and R&B and counts his influences in artists such as Drake, Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean, and Ed Sheeran.

Being able to effortlessly switch between soulful singing to heartfelt rapping in his songs make for a very cathartic experience when listening to his music. He has just released a new single which combines these styles and has a great orchestral atmosphere behind the gritty Hip Hop vibe. There is a definite sensual feel to the music which helps to lighten the mood of the urban backbone.

Lyrically he has the usual themes to his songs you would expect from this genre of music, women and poverty struggles which can be a double edge sword. On one hand he is rapping and singing about what other people are going through in their lives but this can come off as a bit generic as these themes have been explored to death in many other rap and R&B songs for decades now.

There is the promise of an upcoming debut EP release in the near future. Hopefully he can expand on his previous material lyrically and take the next step up in his musical career.
