Brighton's answer to the Pixies

When first hearing Brighton band Tigercub, the first impression I got was that they had an indie/grungy vibe very reminiscent of the Pixies. The bands songs have the same quiet, loud dynamics which go from quirky atmospheric parts to loud, distorted guitar riffs. The guitars bring a fuzzed out bluesy, chromatic feeling one minute and then simple yet melodic the next minute.

As for the vocals, they are indie pop to the core with a flippant feel to them. The songs are pop in nature but have an authentic blues rock spirit.
Signed to the record label Alcopop! Records, they have legitimate funding sources for cool, interesting music videos and a fanbase large enough to play gigs at big venues such as the Oxford O2 Academy 2.
The band are already on a successful path in the music business and a credit to Brighton.
