Monday 5th December, Sticky Mike's Frog Bar the venue, and a diverse crowd assembled for a night of eclectic music. Kid Spirit who describe their music as "mountainscape pop" which in reality is guitar and keys based pop music. They have a mature sound and sense of song composing which requires the listener to really listen to the music instead of just being spoon fed it.

Another band playing that night were The Rapports who are a lively rock band from Brighton. They could be best described as a mixture of Kings of Leon and Artic Monkeys. The lead singer definitely has a voice that reminds you of Alex Turner from Artic Monkeys but the music is all their own take on indie rock with touches of Kings of Leon and maybe The Libertines.

The band incorporate pop type hooks with unusual melodic guitar lines and groovy bass lines. They also have the usual quiet/loud dynamics going on which make for giant sounding choruses. They certainly won the crowd over and seem to be going upwards on their musical journey!
