One Eyed Jacks bring the funk

Patterns was the venue Wednesday 30th November for a jam packed gig with a headlining band that showed both amazing musicianship and fantastic crowd engagement! Performing both original music and covers, the band bring so much funk and groove it is hard not to nod, bounce, sway, or all three during their set.

The extremely charismatic frontman, Karl Benjamin, leads both the band and the audience into a soul infested musical journey. He is the perfect face and voice for this band, and he has two fantastic sounding female backup vocalists which lend a great balance to the male lead vocals.

The guitars are also an integral part of the bands sound. The bass brings catchy grooves and baselines that drive the music forward and out into the venue. The twin guitar setup gives off beautiful, reverb filled chords combined with blistering blues rock inspired guitar solos.

Definitely catch these guys next year when they next perform around Brighton, a great night partying will be enjoyed by all!
